Education is a vital part of growth and advancement of individuals and communities. This is a challenge in the developing world as children lose the opportunity to attend school at an early age due to responsibilities and challenges that are commonly caused by water related issues. Many children are tasked with the responsibility of water retrieval for their families, so their days are spent traveling to and from water sources instead of in the classroom.

In addition, water related illnesses throughout developing communities create widespread health issues preventing children from attending school and enjoying their childhood. By placing community filters in school environments, children are able to stay in school, advance their education, and improve their health through safe drinking water and sanitation.
